I love software. I have loved it ever since I was baptized by fire into the world of personal computers way back in the 1980s while working and living in Beijing, China. And I love software product management. I even love the challenges it brings, and find that I’m only too happy to talk and write at great length about it all.
That is why I started Product Management Challenges in 2002, as a very plain email newsletter that soon acquired a word-of-mouth following among product managers and technology industry professionals. I knew all too well what it was like for a product manager at a software or technology company. Sometimes it feels like you’re blazing a trail through a wild frontier where there are no guideposts, yet you are constantly seeking to establish order and method in the chaos. And you wonder how others are doing it.
